Admissions

Would you like to enjoy a thoughtful and rigorous education immersed in one of the world’s unique ecosystems? Then consider applying for admission!

First, we strongly encourage you to visit. Seeing for yourself offers the best insight of all. Parents, families, and students are invited to schedule a tour of the campus. Please contact us so we can arrange an opportunity for you to see first-hand the educational experience we strive to provide for our students each and every day. Tours provide an opportunity for you to meet students and staff members, appreciate the campus and surrounding area, and ask questions.

Broadwater processes applications throughout the year. Parents/Guardians of all applicants entering Kindergarten through Grade Twelve should complete the following steps:

Complete and submit the Application with a $100 non-refundable fee.

Complete School Transcript and Records Release form and submit the form to your son’s/daughter’s most recent school’s principal or guidance counselor.

Parents of applicants for Pre-Kindergarten pay no application fee but should submit an application.

Application Process: Day School

Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten: Candidates for Pre-K must be three years old by September 30 of enrollment year, and candidates for Kindergarten must be five years old by that date. Parents of Kindergarten applicants also need to make an appointment for testing. The preferred time for visits and testing is in March, but we make exceptions for other times as needed.

Grades One through Twelve: Parents of applicants in Grade One through Grade Twelve should complete an Application and a Records Release Form. After we receive copies of a complete set of records, we set up an appointment for visiting and testing. Students in Grade One through Grade Four spend a minimum of one full day on campus during which they are tested by the Testing Coordinator and a classroom teacher. Students visiting in Grads Five through Grade Twelve partner with a Broadwater Academy student who has similar interests and academic abilities. Students spend a minimum of one day on campus and are tested by individual teachers and the Director of Admissions.

The Director of Admissions will notify parents of the decision of the Admissions Review Committee. If a child is accepted for admission, it should be understood that the place can only be held by a completed enrollment agreement and a deposit of $150 for each student. We understand that the admissions process can be difficult for families, and we know we can be helpful in making an appropriate match for your child.
