About Us

Broadwater Academy Promise Statement

We offer a quality and unique Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 12 educational experience that connects students to the many excellent environmental and community resources that surround the Chesapeake Bay and the Atlantic Ocean.
We value and encourage a creative mindset in all classes, teaching how to think, not what to think. Academic courses, including the arts and physical education, are all valued equally in the pursuit of educating the whole person.
Our students enjoy a thoughtful and rigorous Pre-K through Grade 12 curriculum that seamlessly spirals up through their life at Broadwater. Students who start at Broadwater in the Lower School experience a natural movement from grade level to grade level.
We help students to better understand their learning styles and to utilize strategies and techniques in support of their academic success.
Our collaborative partnerships between the school, our families, and the greater community contribute to the development of civility and citizenship in each and every child.
